Susan E. Mains was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on January 20, 1961, John F. Kennedy’s inauguration day. She and her family bounced around the midwest, moving from Maryland to Ohio to Tennessee, back to Maryland, before finally landing in Central Ohio, where she graduated from Mount Vernon High School. Today, she and her husband live near Lansing, Michigan. Together, they have three grown children, two children-in-law, and six grandchildren. Susan studied music and Christian Education at Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee. Her interests include Bible study, nature photography, collecting whatever suits her fancy and spoiling her grandchildren.
