A guy injures his leg while snowboarding. At work, he’s referred to a sports doctor. Allen invites the doctor to lunch, and they talk about life. It turns out that Allen is an adrenaline junkie, but the brief flashes from his past showing how his parents died don’t fit together into a coherent picture.
Later, they discuss their sexual preferences and decide to rent an apartment together—it’s much cheaper that way. Still, Allen can’t stop thinking about his parents’ death.
Allen leaves to work on a film shoot and gets into a terrible accident. His friend and the friend’s parents help him recover. The recovery is slow, and Allen attempts suicide. Later, he and his friend decide to get married to make life easier, and Allen remembers how his mother used to beat him because his father was gay.
Then it turns out that his friend’s father is also gay and had been abusing his son throughout his childhood. Allen gets a job working for the army, and Mossad comes after him because he looks like a German executioner.
