Cleansed by Fire (Father Frank Mysteries Book 1) by James R. Callan
Father Frank is facing a dilemma. He has heard a clue to the church fires, but he heard it in the confessional and church law prevents him from telling anyone, or acting directly on it himself. He knows there will be another fire, but where, when, by whom? But nothing says he can’t look into it, just not using the information he has received. But, as he collects clues, Father Frank becomes a target himself, and his church is threatened.
The crimes have set the town’s residents on edge, fraying the bonds of trust. Is the mysterious newcomer with ties to the drug scene involved? What about the man who says maybe the churches deserved to burn? Or the school drop-out into alcohol and drugs who attacks the priest with a knife?
Can he save his church?
Can he save his own life?
